A couple summers ago we posted about the Arrinera Hussarya Hypercar, Poland’s first entry into the great International Supercar Wars. Although plenty potent on paper — boasting 650 horsepower and 604 lb-feet of torque from its GM-sourced 6.2-liter V8 engine — we took a bit of umbrage at the car’s very derivative sheet metal, saying it “may remind buyers a little too much of its Lamborghini inspiration.” Apparently we weren’t the only ones. So the men behind Arrinera decided to give the car a refresh, and here it is… looking again very much like a slightly re-imagined Lamborghini Gallardo. Seeing as its moniker is already reminiscent of the Pagani Huayra (never mind its Corvette-derived powerplant), it seems Arrinera should do a better job of differentiating its creation from other (much more respected) supercars already on the market. Not that it’s an unattractive car — and its 211 mph top speed and 3.2 second 0-60 time certainly don’t hurt — but if CEO Lukasz Tomkiewicz wants to really make a splash in such a viciously competitive field he should be considering a much more dramatic revision before hitting production.
